Overseas Students: How to Apply
Please contact us by e-mail at info@aels.edu if you have any questions. Please send admission documents to admission@aels.edu. In order to be admitted to American English Language School, you must be over the age of 18 and have high school diploma (or the equivalent).
It is easy to do the entire visa application process on your own. You just have to follow the steps below:
Submit the following documents to admission@aels.edu
● Complete AELS application form
● Copy of your current passport
● High School Diploma or College Transcripts (Proof of Highest Level of Education Completed)
● Certificate of bank balance of you or your sponsor. Balance must be in English and must be USD $26,400 or more.
After you send all four documents (an AELS application form, a passport, a bank statement, and a high school diploma or equivalent), you will receive the acceptance email and bank information. You need to pay the processing fees: $500 (SEVIS I-901 Fee $350, AELS Application $100, Express Mailing $50)
AELS will send an I-20 Form, I-901 (receipt of SEVIS payment), and the acceptance letter by international mail once the application form and required documents are received and the eligibility requirements are confirmed.
Fill out the online nonimmigrant visa application. You will need your passport, I-20 Form, and information about the dates of your last five visits to the United States (if applicable).
You may also be asked for your previous work or education experience and your travel itinerary if you have already made travel arrangements. All answers on the DS-160 must be in English. Following your application, you will need to make an appointment for your visa interview with the U.S. embassy or consulate.
For more information, check out our step-by-step instructional videos in your own language on how to fill out the DS-160 form.
First, print your DS-160 form. It has an application number on it that you will need. You will also need your SEVIS ID #, which you can find on your I-20 form.
Second, set up your visa interview and pay your interview fee online. Each country has its own way to pay.
Third, once you have paid your interview fee, you will be able to make your appointment online through your country’s special link.
