Our ESL teachers have something very special about them. They are beyond proactive, passionate, and enthusiastic about what they do. They strive to be the best form of themselves—a quality missing from many young teachers. Being subpar may settle for many, but sometimes only the best can suffice. It takes discipline, hard work, and more importantly a good set of morals.
One can be called “proactive” if he or she takes action rather than sit idly by until something happens. Regardless of the fact, there is a certain amount of courage required in order to take the first step. Initiating anything can leave a feeling of uncertainty to which in some cases lead to hesitation or worse, regret. But the unknown is just the opposite of discovery. Taking that first step might be worthwhile. And with this understanding is what separates proactive teachers and AELS teachers. Uncertainty is not a hindrance for them but something that stirs the desire to discover.
It is apparent to all staff that discipline, courteousness, and respect are fundamental to being part of AELS. Not a day passes by without a warm “hello” and “farewell” to the students or fellow teachers. The significance of education is unquestionable but every teacher never forgets to put respect others. Some of life’s most important lessons are passed down by examples. Living in accordance to good habits and morals are perhaps the most crucial path to success. Excellence can never be without courtesy, honor, and respect. In actuality, the duty of teachers begins much earlier than the class. Acknowledging and greeting others can greatly impact their day.
A teacher can mold the future. Their guidance and wisdom are keys to a brighter tomorrow. But not all teachers are equal; there are a few who stands out from the crowd. AELS understands that the brightest future is made by the best teachers. They are courteous and respectful to those who surround them. The best are the ones that bravely initiate the future, strive for better, and lead by example.
