DOJ & FBI Clearance

Providing a safe environment for our students is of the utmost concern for AELS and is considered when making every hiring decision. Prior to hiring any new employees, AELS requires that a background check be performed on the applicant. This means that the applicant must get fingerprinted at a government-approved fingerprinting facility, which will allow AELS access to the applicant’s criminal history.

American English Language School uses a Live Scan report as a background check for all our ESL teachers before they are employed. Live Scan fingerprinting is a technology technique of scanning fingerprints and palm prints for an individual’s criminal history record. This check allows us to have access to the applicant’s criminal history which indicates to us whether the applicant has a clean record from both the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

One of the most distinguishable factors that sets American English Language School apart from all the other language school programs is the fact that we have invested a great amount of time and resources to have clearance from the DOJ and FBI by Live Scan fingerprinting. Language school programs are not required to make their applicants go through a background check and most programs don’t use this practice because of the hassle it takes to get it done. This not only speaks to the quality of our teachers, but it also speaks to the quality of instruction and safety for the students here at American English Language School in Los Angeles.

Therefore, American English Language School is one of the most trusted and reputable English language school programs and our students feel more than safe with us. At American English Language School, we want to give our students the best learning environment possible, and we do that by carefully hiring the best and most trustworthy talent.
