American English Language School in Orange County, California, hire college graduates that have an English related degree or an English language teaching certificate like TESOL. Our ESL teachers are native speakers who must have background knowledge of the language learning process and an understanding of the difficulties involved when learning English. Another way that our ESL teachers stand out is because they all have to do a background check. We use Live Scan fingerprinting for background checks when hiring new teachers. Law enforcement agencies or private agencies use live scan fingerprinting to gain access to every applicant's criminal history. Employers can then check if applicants are cleared from the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Other language schools do not require the background check because of the time and resources that it takes to have clearance from the DOJ and FBI. 

We want our students to feel that they are getting the best teachers. That is why our teachers are not only 100% native speakers, college graduates with an English related major, and TESOL certified, but also cleared from the DOJ and FBI.
