How to Apply for an F1 Visa
Coming to the United States for the first time to study English can seem like a frightening experience for students. However, the process is not as difficult or complicated as it seems. With AELS, you can find everything you need to know about studying English in the US, from getting the necessary documents, to visa interviews and acquisitions, to entry to the US and ongoing support for living in the US. • To receive our tuition discount above, you will need to pay the full tuition amount 4 weeks before the start date of the class. Otherwise, you can pay $1,500 for every 3-month class. For example, if you decide to study for 9 months, you can pay $1,500 for 3 months at the start of each 3-month class and end up paying $4,500 after 9 months ($1,500 x 3 = $4,500), or you can pay the full amount for 9 months 4 weeks before the first day of class and only pay $4,000 ($4,500 - $4,000 = $500 saved).

Transfer Students
Transferring to AELS from another language school is quick and simple. The process takes only a few days and 3 easy steps:

Step 2. Pay the Processing Fees
Step 3. Fill Out SEVIS I-20 Transfer Form
Submit the following documents to admission@aels.edu
1. Transfer application form => Download
2. Copy of your current passport and F-1 visa
3. Copy of your current I-20 form
4. Certificate of bank balance of you or your sponsor. Balance must be in English and must be USD $26,400 or more.
5. High School Diploma or College Transcripts (Proof of Highest Level of Education Completed)
Processing Fees: $100 (Application $100)
Once we have confirmed your payment, AELS will send you an Acceptance Letter and a SEVIS I-20 Transfer Form via e-mail. The student will complete the SEVIS I-20 Transfer Form and submit the Acceptance Letter and the SEVIS I-20 Transfer Form to the student's current school.
The student will be transferred through SEVIS based on the Acceptance Letter and the SEVIS I-20 Transfer Form. The student will then receive an I-20 Form issued by AELS.
I-20 Reinstatement Process
When coming to the United States to study, you must comply with the terms of your F-1 student visa! Not following the terms of your visa can result in the termination of your I-20 Form, Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status. If your I-20 is suddenly terminated, it can leave you confused about your options, but we can help answer any questions you have about what to do next.
Change of Status
If you wish to change your status by replacing your current visa with a student visa, please contact an AELS representative after preparing the following information.

3. Copy of your current visa
4. Certificate of bank balance of you or your sponsor. Balance must be in English and must be USD 26,400 or more.
5. High School Diploma or College Transcripts (Proof of Highest Level of Education Completed)
Processing Fees: $450 (SEVIS I-901 Fee $350, AELS Application $100)
After payment is confirmed, you will be contacted by AELS representatives for procedures and any necessary correspondence related to admission and F-1 visa issuance.

Application/ Tuition Deadlines
The deadline to apply is about 4 weeks prior to the start of the quarter for which you are applying. Deadlines are set to allow students enough time to complete the visa process and pay for tuition on time.
